Why does it cost more to ship internationally?
Shipping internationally definitely costs more than shipping domestically.
The shipping charge does cover all costs, including duties, taxes, customs paperwork, and freight — and we only charge what the carrier (DHL) charges us.
Since international shipping costs more, we encourage customers to order in bulk and/or kits (like our Body Care or Oral Care Kits) so that the shipping cost as a percent of the order cost is reasonable.
Do you ship to Canada or other countries outside of the US?
We ship to the continental United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico.
We also ship to the following countries:
Australia
Canada
Ireland
New Zealand
United Kingdom
For all non-US shipments:
We use DHL
All duties, taxes, and fees are collected during checkout — no surprises.
Customers can use their local currency and a local payment method at checkout.
We only charge you what DHL charges us — no markup.
We offer end-to-end tracking for shipments.
Packages typically arrive within 3 to 12 days after shipping from our warehouse.
We cannot ship Fulvic Mineral Complex (and kits containing it) due to international regulations.
Return and Refund Policies: Returns are not allowed. We offer a refund for products that arrive damaged or were short-shipped (please take a photo of your shipment).
Shipping internationally costs more than domestically. To offset shipping costs, consider ordering more at a time. Fewer shipments are better for the environment too.

My tracking info says my package was delivered but why haven’t I received the package?
We deliver via USPS and find it to be reliable and affordable for all. Most packages delivered have no problem getting to their destination within 3-5 days.
Some packages may take a bit longer.
And while rare, some may never make it to their destination. (NOTE: in rare cases, packages may show as 'delivered' but could take an additional 24 hours to receive.)
From our research, the number of USPS packages lost appears to be less than 1% - so that means you have a 99% likelihood of getting your package. A lost package can happen when you consider that USPS is responsible for processing and delivering an average of 20.5 million packages per day.
Common causes of delayed or lost packages include:
The address was entered incorrectly.
USPS error: delivered to the wrong address. The USPS person placed the box in a safer spot (learn more).
The package was stolen.
The package was misplaced or accidentally taken (more common in shared housing, apartments, and condominiums).
So, what to do?
Do a few practical things, e.g.:
Wait a few days (packages usually show up).
Double-check the shipping address you entered.
Ask neighbors if they received your package.
Contact your local USPS post office
Not the USPS hotline. Your local post office will be able to provide quicker, better service.
Ask them who delivered the package, and when they delivered it to your location. They are used to these questions and will generally provide helpful information.
If, after 7 days you still cannot locate your package, please email support@akamaibasics.com, and we can help resolve this.

How much do you charge for shipping and handling?
Note: Shipping is expensive for businesses (unless you are a mega-retailer like Amazon and Walmart). Our average shipping cost is over $10. We charge our US customers only $7.95
While some places use shipping as a profit center, we choose to subsidize the cost of shipping for our customers.
You can help keep our costs in line by ordering more at a time. Fewer shipments = lower costs for everyone AND it is much better for our planet!

For orders shipped within the continental US, we offer:
$7.95 Flat-Rate Shipping
All orders over $60 ship free
For orders shipped to Hawaii/Alaska/Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands, we offer:
$11.95 Flat-Rate Shipping for one-time purchases
All orders over $90 ship for free
All orders ship out via USPS.
When will my order ship? How long will it take after I place my order?
We ship orders every day. Orders ship within 48 hours (excluding weekends) via USPS (post office).
Packages typically arrive in 3 to 5 business days and ship from our fulfillment partner located in Chicago, Illinois. If you need your package delivered sooner than that, please email us at support@akamaibasics.com.
